The road to Darjeeling climbs two thousand metres in under seventy kilometres, and it is not a drive to hand to someone who has never done it. Our hill routes go to drivers who run them regularly.
Book one way, or take a round trip and keep the cab for the return. Round trips are quoted for the whole journey up front, including the driver's return leg.
Popular stops along the way
Most passengers ask to stop at the Batasia Loop, the tea estates around Ghum, or the viewpoint at Tiger Hill on an early start. Tell the driver when you book so the timing works.
